Our School Trip to Tesco

On Wednesday we visited Tesco to take part in one of their Farm to Fork Workshops. We had lots of fun and learnt so much about healthy food and the importance of eating breakfast. Password 1233

Our Class Mass

On Friday we celebrated our class mass, but unfortunately due to the weather we had to come inside to celebrate. This did not matter however because the reading, offertory procession, role play and behaviour was exceptional. We would like to say thank you to all the parents and parishioners who came to celebrate “The Gift of Love”. It was so lovely to see so many of you come back to class to have some delicious cakes and snacks.

Letting our butterflies go

Today we celebrated our mass and then afterwards we let our butterflies go. At first they didn’t want to leave their butterfly habitat and some even sat on the orange to have one last snack before flying off into the wild! We were all so excited and had to sit so still so that if a butterfly landed on us, we would scare it or hurt it. We are going to miss our butterflies but can’t wait to use the watercolours to paint our own versions of the ‘painted lady’ butterfly.

Exercise Time!

We were so excited to meet Luke Lennon-Ford! He helped us do lots of different exercises and kept encouraging us to try our best.

Luke then talked to all of us about his career and told us about all the countries he has visited, people he has met and healthy food he eats. Luke then answered lots of questions about his career. Did you know he has won 57 medals? Sadly Luke cannot go to the Olympics because he has an injury but he is hoping to be ready for London 2017.

Butterflies!

We are so excited because when we came into school today, we saw that we had 5 butterflies. We have taken pictures of the butterflies and we are painting and drawing pictures of our butterflies and will be sharing them with you soon.

Cocoons!

Today we noticed somethings strange happening in our caterpillar pot. Our caterpillars were hanging upside down and guess what, they have cocooned! We will keep you posted on what happens next, but tomorrow they are going to be pinned into their special butterfly garden.
